Business Leader of the Year

Cindy Aubrey
President & CEO, Pikes Peak United Way

Cindy has served as President and CEO of the Pikes Peak United Way (PPUW) for the past five years and was COO for the organization prior to that. Cindy created Women United, a group who contributes to PPUW at the Leadership Giving level to celebrate philanthropic leadership. They meet on a regular basis and recently completed a day of service for PPUW.

She was the Chief Communications Officer for the City of Colorado Springs and spent 17 years with KOAA TV News, ending as the station’s news director. She is currently a Board Member for Early Connections Learning Centers, the Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale, the Colorado Springs Press Association and the Colorado Springs Leadership Institute. Cindy has been recognized with numerous awards including the PRSA Vista Award, CSBJ Women of Influence Award, the Edward R. Murrow Award and the Golden Peacock Award.
